Yup, definately someone being nosey. Actually I would have guessed someone had a big marrow bone or one of those toys filled with goodies if the tip of the nose was pink too (we had that happen to a dog once).
Actually, this is Remi's nose (top picture) and then Lucy's nose (bottom picture). Apparently during the "ordeal" last Monday (read last Wednesday's post, http://patemarie.blogspot.com/2008/11/minor-barf-setback.html), they no doubt spent the better part of the day trying to escape their crates (their wire crates) and escape the mess they made, thus injuring themselves pretty bad on the noses. Sugar, being the prima donna that she is, survived the "ordeal" unscathed.
I recognized it immediately. The first time I left Oreo at home alone, she tried to pry the front door open with her nose. She also chewed the door--it still has the tooth marks. You notice we all recognized it?
